Baaaa Sowenyaaaa Mamabeatsebabah

Hi, everyone! Lora and Andrew here, writing from beautiful Colorado. In case you missed it, we're not really active on social media anymore, so we've created a blog to make sure you can stay up to date on what's happening in our life (for those of you who care).
Biggest, latest news: Lora is pregnant (it's Andrew's) and due in the beginning of December! From our latest ultrasound, the baby and its brain, skull, spine, extremities and heartbeat are all healthy. It was squirming around, seeming excited for us to say hi. Since it is probably bad manners to call your unborn baby "it", the baby has been affectionately named Bing Bong (aka BB).

For those of you who have short attention spans, that's the gist of the need-to-know.

Here are the deets:
Colorado has made for a healthier and much more outdoor adventure filled life for Andrew and Lora. We are living in northwest burbs and Lora works in Boulder while Andrew works from a western suburb two days a week and has the luxury of working from home the rest. Living around here probably makes a mountain climber out of anyone.
The Sanitas Valley hike ascends ~1250ft in about a mile with views of Boulder and the Flatirons from the top. Getting us acclimated, for sure.
About 6 weeks into Bing Bong's stay, Lora started feeling the lovely magic of pregnancy with some pretty severe "morning sickness" that lasted most of the day, every day. This put a damper on some planned half marathon training but we were still able to run and finish. It was Andrew's first half marathon and surely not his last.
Andrew showed off his famous beer chugging skills afterward (with Lora's excellent hype commentary).

We also ran the world-famous BolderBoulder 10k. It's the kind of race that can be taken as seriously as you want, with costumes, slip and slides, squirt guns, and beer stops along the way. Andrew took advantage of the beer stops and kept it down! The race ends in the Colorado University Boulder stadium.
Currently, at about 13.5 weeks in and 10 pounds down, Lora is feeling much better and looking forward to a more energetic, less nauseous second trimester. We are both enjoying our jobs, working for really good companies and have supportive, pretty easy-going bosses and nice co-workers. Andrew has found a Dungeons and Dragons group and is even playing drums again with a couple of other musicians about once a week. Lora has found a Crossfit gym to get her pump on. We have plenty of time on the weekends to explore new places. Yesterday, we checked out trails around near-by Eldorado with the so obviously, extremely phallic rock formation in the background.
Please keep in touch and let us know how you're doing. We will update here with big events and milestones.
